When researching for my magazine advert, I chose to look at other bands which play the same genre of music as the band i have chosen, therefore the advert should appeal to the same audience as the band, because the audience will be used to seeing similar adverts.

 

Coldplay: their magazine advert is the most similar to my advert as they have chosen to use one big picture of the band as their main picture. I have decided to use this technique as Coldplay are a very successful band and I could potentially steal some of their audience.

Secondly, the front cover of their digipak is placed at the bottom left of the magazine advert to not distract from the main picture, but still give the audience enough information on the digipak cover.
